Don't let it defeat you! Level 3 is ok, wait til you get to level 4. Even that's ok once you've seen what you're meant to see. Level 6 will be the death of me. I've figured out what I need to figure out but I can't get the username/password combination!! Arrrrggghhh!! Hints: deathball.net/notpron/notpron.htmAn hour later... I got past level 6 (with the help of a friend), then level seven (acidentally cheated - no really, it was an accident), and am now on something that doesn't even appear to be a level. I'm going to bed, I've had enough for today!

Just keep looking at it carefully. The hint for Level 4 is quite useful too.

Yeah but I needed help from my friend for 6, it's pure evil. 8 was a bitch too, I had to go on the deathball forum for that and I was working on it on and off for 5 hours. Damn my steely determination!! I'm on 9 now and have almost cracked it.. I think! I love and loathe this game.
There are many different parts for 6, and it is excellent practise in observing and deciphering source code. I've blocked the horror from my mind, but as far as I remember, you need to find a few different things in the source code. And when you've found those you use them to find other things, then when you've found those other things you then need to decode the message to get the username and password.
And remember, the username is usually just one word, as is the password.
If you haven't done it by tomorrow, PM me and I'll tell you, otherwise I guarantee it will send you into an early grave.

Well I'm here to give you little clues if you need them, but you're part way there with your ascii decoder.

Bloody hell, well done on cracking 6!
8 took me a long time, I spent all afternoon saying JAY PACK over and over again like a freak. I'm meant to be doing 3 weeks of intensive revision for my exams but this game is ruining all that!! Help!

been trying to do 8 for ages, had to put it away last night because my brain hurt! I read somewhere that it took someone 5 months to complete, so i think that if you let it sit for a while it won't matter. Good luck with your exam revision.

I plan on completing this thing eventually, but I really should do some decent revision today. I only managed to read half a chapter of my textbook yesterday when I was meant to read 3 thanks to this game!

Like all great things, I had to give it up otherwise it would have taken over my life. Just like I had to give up solitaire, free cell and sudoku. Might try it again when I get internet in my uni house though, I don't like to be defeated!
