FANTASTIC DAY BUT TRAFFIC HELLWell I recently went off to a mates wedding in Surrey, My mum paid for me and a mate (Mand!!) to spend the night before in the hotel where the reception was and we arrived on the Friday afternoon.
After checking out the room we went for a wander around the grounds (had a tennis court, horses, swimming pool, pond, riding school, loads of green grass and a tree laden path) - school and horses owned seperately
We headed back into town via the bus and discovered a Dominoes pizza place! After Tea it was off to get goodies for a nights TV watching then headed back to the hotel!
The morning of the wedding arrived and after a 3 hour wait we finally got ready and made our way to the church were we met the grooms mum, the groom and the best man (Who looked like Jon Gilbert a bit!).
After the wedding I had a chat with Liz (the bride) and we then all headed back to the hotel and had a few drinks and a gab whilst waiting for the room to be ready, Before you knew it it was time to go in and the dinner was lovely! Speeches made us laugh and nearly cry at some points and then it was a few more drinks, general mingling before the evening entertainment.
By this time it was about 7pm and the evening was in full swing, With a tab on the bar we were all having a good time, After the couples first dance I got dragged up on the dancefloor and the song that came on was the one set to Karls video on you tube (I need a hero).
The evening wore on and we got to chat to Liz mum and dad who were great! Dave the best man kept asking if everybody was OK! and then pretended I think to fall over and actually did and ended up wacking his shoulder on the stone step! he just got up, raised his pint, pulled a goofy face and went in leaving us outside in hysterics!
The next day we had breakfast (a cure for a hangover if there ever was one!) and then met up with Liz again for a quick goodbye before the taxi arrived to take us home.
Then came the nightmare! Coming home I decided to get the Quick coach! which was only 4 hours rather than 6. Well we hit traffic on the M6 and were over an hour late getting home, we were not moving at all for about 25 minutes. Was getting everyone annoyed
then we got off at Liverpool and the driver wouldn't get the bags off the coach and just walked off. Mine was right over the other side of the coach so had to wait for everyone to get theirs off
Got into our house an hour and 25 minutes later than planned and just chilled out for the rest of the weekend!
had a fab time though and looking forward to seeing the pictures next week even if Mand did take one
