Hi Jon, have you ever cooked Confit du Canard? If so, any tips? The last one we did the legs were a bit hard.

for good confit du canard you have to slowly roast the duck until it's tender and falling off the bone, get that right and the rest is easy!

Ok, Jon...heres one for you. Whats the perfect meal to cook someone you want to impress? In a romantic way, that is. I might have the opportunity to cook for someone soon, and I dont want to have to resort to beans on toast....lol

jacks,
how good a cook would you say you are? don't want to give you a recipe that you'll either find too fussy, or find too easy.......
i'll have a think for you

If you want to cook something he'll never forget, I suggest Bridget Jones's blue string soup. It'll certainly make an impression*
*Not necessarily a good one

Jon...I'm not a bad cook actually, and dont mind a challenge. I can cook a mean beef strogonoff, totally from scratch! Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks xx
pmsl Lauren...not sure about the blue string soup to be honest, although I AM the original Bridget Jones, I swear they followed me around to get my life story to put in that film!!

Ifs its any consolation, personally I would be happy with sarnie and crisps (combined is good too) - unfortunately i cannot cook for toffee!
