another day, another lecture on britsh broadcasting.....
Was told livingtv's main viewers are women with disposable income....
If this is the case, is that MH's target audience? Is that the primary target? Alot of men do seem to watch it though from looking at the audiences at MHL...can anyone clear this up?

Maybe the blokes are only there cos they've been dragged along by their partners.

not sure that's still true, it was a line used years ago when living first started, since then it's been said that their specialities are gay and paranormal programming (where do i fit into that?) not sure that they're of particular interest to rich women?

Maybe the 'women with disposable income' bit actually means 'students willing to use their loans on MHLs rather than eating properly'.

i thought of that too...none of them seem to pleased to be there...you can almost see they're thinking "i'd rather be down the pub"!!!
Most of the women in the lives look shall we say 'more mature'....unless they're mature students i guess.
So MH's main audience target is gays and women?

Hehe! I reckon I'm an OAP at heart. Old people are great, and knitting is cool and useful - what more could you ask for? I don't really notice age though, everyone's the same to me. Maybe I need glasses.
How do these people know Living's audience so specifically? I guess it's some kind of survey but I always wonder how accurate they are. Even if they're randomly picked groups of people, what if they completely randomly picked a load of affluent females that in reality only formed 10% of the audience?
Ah soz I'm rambling. I have no idea how surveys like that work and I closed my ears in A Level statistics when they tried to teach me.

thank god...i'm secretly 23 going on 83!! Me and my female flatmates always sit in the kitchen, drinking cups of tea and moaning about how cold it is!!
Of course in 20 years i'll change my tune and try and find my forgotten youth!
