I just saw an advert - it's on this Sunday 9pm Channel 4.
Looks dark and twisted, just my kinda thing. Wish I was seeing the tour this year actually. I know I've already seen it twice but you know, nothing much going on at the moment!

Yeah I can't wait either. I'm glad it's on Sundays this time. It used to be Friday nights so I'd tape it, go out, then watch it when I got back wrecked and not remember a thing of it the next day. I'm not sure about stooges, I'd hope he doesn't use them but you never know. The people he uses in the stage show aren't though. There's one very unusual part of the live show and two people were sick on Derren as a result of it last year! Not funny for him obv. My favourite thing is when he explains how he does the tricks, because it's just a string of very believable red herrings which is great. Sneaky!

matthew smith has worked with him, and knows a couple of people who are consultants on the shows, he's got some very good stories, though wouldn't answer all my questions, despite me plying him with booze ciaran is a little more sceptical if i remember rightly, he thinks it's all done with stooges

Oh yeah I remember talking to Matthew about him last year in Barnsley.
If it was all done with stooges then surely someone would have blabbed after 6 years of the TV stuff. Hmm. Did you ever see the one where Derren and this woman were at a window a couple of stories up, and when they said STOP, the person they'd been watching on the street below stopped and turned round? If there were ever stooges, the girl that stopped was one. Her mock surprise was awful. If she wasn't a stooge then they picked an unfortunate person to stop.

Yep that was DB's Seance. He also did an excellent programme called Messiah where he used every psychic/medium trick in the book and easily convinced people he could communicate with the dead and read their minds. Twas most enjoyable.

Yeah that was David Blaine. Same person that buried himself alive and trapped himself in a box above London. Not sure what I think of him really, his feats of endurance are quite impressive I suppose, but then I think back to that interview he did with Eamon Holmes and I can't help thinking what a knob. Swings and roundabouts.
